Niravu Farmers Producer Company (FPC) has expanded its reach beyond farmer empowerment to become a vital player in waste management across Kerala. Operating as a "Haritha Sahaya Stapanam" (Green Support Center), Niravu manages the "Haritha Karma Sena" (Green Action Force) in various Grama Panchayats (village councils) across the state.


Responsibilities

  • Recruitment : Niravu handles the recruitment process, ensuring qualified and dedicated individuals join the Haritha Karma Sena
  • Training and Education:The company provides comprehensive training to the workforce, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective waste management.
  • Coordination:Niravu oversees the daily operations of the Haritha Karma Sena, ensuring efficient and timely waste collection and management in designated Panchayats
  • User Fee Collection: To ensure the sustainability of the program, Niravu facilitates user fee collection from residents within the Panchayats with the help of Haritha karma sena
  • Waste Management: Niravu implements proper waste management practices, including segregation, composting, and recycling, reducing landfill waste and promoting environmental sustainability
  • Problem Resolution : The company addresses all waste-related issues within the Panchayats, such as delays in waste removal or concerns from residents

  • CRC-Kozhikode : Composite Regional Centre For Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons With Disabilities
